Sleep deprivation, G7, action in the night

As I've written, we were in Ottawa for Jo's graduation ceremony.  Grampa (75) stayed awake, despite both of us being rather tired.

Saturday, there were massive protests around the world, while the wannabe king falls asleep (79) at his own parade. Hegseth didn't appear too conscious, either. Melania earned her pay, however.

It was quite the week in the US last week. This guy summed it up rather well:

Lest you think the US is all alone, we are standing up for you here in Canada. There is a difference between the rational people of the US, and the ones governing it. Even the ones who voted for your president, seem to be regretting it!

The G7 began in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Lots of dignitaries. Lots of talking amongst world leaders. This is important.

The air traffic has been phenomenal in the area. I couldn't figure out the USAF action. Joe said it's likely a refueling plane. I never even thought!

🚘 It stresses us to have to meet deadlines in the city. Silly, when we both had busy jobs back in the day. Thankfully, it was in the evening, and we had all day to pack overnight bags and get in there. It was lovely. We gave the cats extra rations, and hoped for the best.

Friday morning, at home, we unpacked the car, and Joe told me there was a surprise in the hallway. There was! The cats are carefully watched. They don't go after many birds. They prefer rodents.

I set up the Wingscapes birdcam while we were away!  The cats were up and down the hallway at all hours. You need not read this, but having deleted all the clips, I wanted to remember how busy they were. There was action from 9 pm until 4 am, when they must have konked out.

Look at the action:

These were the highlights, beginning with Nutmeg (AKA Killer)! She's restricted to one run a day. I don't feed her before she goes out, and she comes in quickly for food, being small. She eats frequently.

Nutmeg took a walk. The birds were yelling at her from the trees. She was more concerned with the rodents.

Cinnamon and I went Walkies. He loves the wetland. He's quite fascinated with it.

When we came back, Cinnamon thought this was the place to roll around, under my watering tripod.

Can you see the tree frog on it?!
OK, time to put out garbage! See you tomorrow!

Cute photos of Cinnamon and the frog.
The three in the first photo look either bored or asleep.
Take care, enjoy your day and have a great week!

Sounds like the cats survived just fine without you! It's fun to be able to check up on them! Yes, I was part of the (badly named) No Kings on Saturday. (Should have been no dictators, but that doesn't fit on a sign as well, I guess.) It will take time but every event we get stronger.

Air traffic, I would not want to be a pilot or traffic controller there, when I watched the plane leave Vancouver last Thursday night, the number of others in the air was scary. Love that welcome sign , and as for DT and others to shut their eyes, how rude.

Echoing YAM's comment. Our Prime Minister is due to meet the Orange felon at G7 and we dread what will come of it.

Did my heart good to see so many people turn out. Cinnamon and Nutmeg are very entertaining.

We've been on two trips and recuperating for the last two months. I'm starting my blog up at the end of the month.

While we were gone to Japan, we didn't have to listen to more bad, aggravating news about Trump. He is such a fascist... with the BIGGEST ego in the world.

Art was in the Air Force and when he saw them give the draft dodger a folded flag at his birthday/military parade, it sickened him.
