Travels and critters

 🛬 U.S. travel

I am not worried, much. My son travels to the US on business Monday. I've been tracking what has been happening to US visitors, even with Visas. It's not pretty. I've spotted 22 incidents, and I am sure there are many more revoked Visas.

#22. 🇦🇺 Aussie ex-cop jailed & deported from US after cuffs, arrest, 3 cavity searches. She was terribly mistreated. Her husband is in the US military.

Birding has been strange. So cold, but the birds are still singing. Another single-digit ℃ morning!

The frog likes his rest spot, a piece of wood I threw into the pond.

I left the guest room door open. Cinnamon was looking for a snuggly spot! He landed on top of my repaired jacket, yet to be rehung.

This isn't too exciting looking, but #75 has ventured up a different tree. It'll be two week on Tuesday. There is progress.

When he went back into his box, he neglected to bring his tail in! I'm inclined to think he met a predator. I tossed his food ration out between these two tree and he leapt out of his box, and hustled up the tree.

She wanders away to feed, but they stay there by the hole. I don't know why they don't use the exit in the shed! She's moved two more rocks out. I guess renovations are continuous!

I love watching them. These sweet head bumps!

Another cute video of Fred and her kits. They will be gone before we know it.

Oh grass! Little ground-hoglets have begun to eat solid food...and Fred seems not hungry at all, just on guard. Hope the Canadian border is safe both ways for your son. My optimistic thought is that thousands may cross without problems, while the news only tells of those who are mistreated. Without Merlin, I hear crows and a Canada goose flying by. I'm watching all sizes of birds, squirrels and a chipmunk out my window. Too cold to be open this morning!

Women are always changing the decor. Good for 75 in making progress. Cute vid. I did watch some as I sometimes do.

The kits all look in good shape... mum a little tired!

As dedicated a nomad as I am, I admit that these days I tend to focus on the local- world travel seems to me to be a real gamble now... YAM xx

Canada to US, or from any other country, scary times for everyone. 4 kits, she is busy and they are growing so quickly.

Thought the dreary weather was over this morning as the sun was out and promising a nice day, then came the afternoon with clouds and rain! One of these days we will be so shocked that it is warm all day. The birds are around but looking very wet and drippy. Hope your son doesn't encounter any problems on his work trip to the USA.

It seems that the US is being very aggressive. I think they have fragile feelings because they a very aggressive social media presence basically denying everything. Very frustrating.

SO glad #75 went to a different tree. If he doesn' learn to tuck his tail in, it might get shorter in the future! Linda in Kansas

#75 is getting braver. Love that sweet family. I don't think I would travel to the US at the moment, despite having family there.

Sending good wishes your way. I would never want to come here as a "foreigner" (even though Canadians are about as far as foreigners as you get here! They're our neighbors and friends.)

My son travels to the US 6 times a year for the company he works for. Last week he was in Texas and returned home Fri. He hasn't told me any stories of problems.

Hello,
I can imagine travel to the USA is down, I can understand why.
It is scary! Love all your critters, the frog is a cutie.
Take care, have a wonderful day and a happy week ahead.

It is plenty scary if a trip to the USA is necessary. I wonder how many of the men and women carrying out the Trump agenda are in favour of it. I guess some would have to be or there would not be so many horror stories.
